Pirate Alfie supervised this week’s SciFri as we talked about, hypothesized, made, and floated boats.
My favorite was the Blue’s Clues boat made with a sponge. I thought it was going to sink when it got saturated with water, but it kept floating!
We also tried a paper boat, one made from a toilet paper roll wrapped in duct tape, and 2 plastic bottles taped together like a raft. I though for sure the bottles would sink when they filled with water, and they did, but as long as there was any air inside they kept floating!
