Today’s Little Passports: World Landmarks

We learned about the Sphinx in Egypt, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the giant stone heads on Rapa Nui, and the Great Wall of China, among others. Mom showed me pictures of when she and D-Dad went to Stonehenge in the U.K., and she says there is a small one near here that we can maybe go see one day!

My favorite was the giant heads. Did you know that some people think they might have whole bodies under ground? I’m not so sure, but it sounds like something I’d like to find out in person!

I’m not sure what the “granny went to market” book had to do with landmarks, but we changed it to “My Grammie went to Market” and that made it better.

    Love it!! wish I could have been part of that lesson in person!!
    What was the best thing I bought at the Market???
    I noticed that National Geographic has a study trip to Rapa Nui that sounds fabulous.
    Maybe one day???
