A boy, a cutie, a dragon

I’m the Spotlight Raddish Chef for September!

*As told by my RadMom*

We discovered Raddish Kids when Finn was 4. One of the first recipes that he worked on was Spanakopita. After getting over my initial thoughts of, “what kind of 4 year old makes spanakopita?!?!” I knew we were on a magical road that would take us far! Now, at age 7, Chef Finn has completed well over 200 unique Raddish recipes. He has the confidence to stand at the stove and make T-bone steaks for birthday dinners, or at the grill for kebobs or burgers. He’s even learned to flambĂ©!

Throughout our COVID isolation, he made numerous baked goods to deliver to friends and family to keep us close with them (yet socially distant!), and has continued this gifting since. He has done bake sales to raise money to donate for Cub Scouts and for the American Cancer Society. Personally, I love that Raddish exposes us to so many new recipes that either we didn’t previously know or just never thought we could make at home. The global kits often tie in well with our homeschooling. It is not unusual for me to gravitate towards Raddish recipes for meals, and more often than not, Finn will be found in the kitchen with me.

I love the time we share cooking! Says Chef Finn, “Cooking is fun! I love that I can cook for my family and bake gifts for friends! I also love taking Raddish recipes and changing them to make them my own!”
