We measured and compared temperatures of the different aspects (inside, outside, us, hot/room temp/cold water) and then duplicated some of the experiments we did last week, but paid closer attention to how the ambient temperature affected the results.
We also put some chunks inside a balloon and watched it grow just from the released CO2. So big from such a little amount (2 chunks about the size of a pair of dice). We also used the release of the CO2 to power our pop rockets!
We had to do science today instead of waiting til Friday because we can only get the dry ice from our MilkMan Eban who comes on Wednesday. And the dry ice “melts” in the freezer… it’s normal temperature is -109° but our freezer is too warm at only around 2°
